Overview Importing an Exclusion File Manually Adding Exclusions

Overview

An account or group map exclusion excludes an account or group from owner or permissions preservation. They can be defined during the map's creation or imported from a comma-separated values (CSV) file.

If you receive an error when importing a CSV file, the file does not meet the expected format. You will need to edit the file before attempting to import it again. Refer to Mapping Import CSV Guidelines for map templates and sample downloads.

Importing an Exclusion File

  1. Expand Scans in the left menu.
  2. Click Migrations.
  3. Click Maps.
  4. The page defaults to User maps. To create or manage a group map, use the menu to select Group maps.

  5. Find the map and click Manage mappings.
  6. Click Exclusions.
  7. Click Import source exclusions.
  8. The Import source user exclusions modal appears. You can upload a file from your computer or the source connection.
To upload a file from your computer, verify that you are on the Upload tab and select Browse. Then, navigate to the file and select Open.

To select a file from the source connection, click Select from the source connection. Navigate to the file or use the Manually enter path option to enter the path for the mapping file you want to use.

  9. Once you select the file, click Use this file.
  10. The screen will read the import file and display the exceptions on the screen.

Manually Adding Exclusions

  1. Expand Scans in the left menu.
  2. Click Migrations.
  3. Click Maps.

  5. Find the map and click Manage mappings. If the map doesn’t exist, you will need to create it.
  6. Click Exclusions.
  7. Click More Options.
  8. Click Create source exclusion or Create destination exclusion, depending on the location of the user/group you want to exclude.
  9. A field displays under the connection you selected.

  10. Click Choose.
  11. A modal appears and displays all the available users. Click the user and click Use this user.

  12. Click Done to save the exclusion. The user/group is added to the list on the screen.
  13. Repeat these steps for each exclusion you need to add.
