Overview
The Custom Insights feature allows you to create tailor-made dashboards that report on the information relevant to your unique use cases. This allows you to access all your content insights within the DryvIQ Platform, eliminating the need for additional third-party reporting applications.
Creating a New Dashboard

- Click Add dashboard.
- Click the Pencil icon to edit the dashboard name and click the Save icon to save the changes.

- Once you create the data source, assign it to a component to create a visualization for the dashboard. Refer to “Custom Insights Components Data” for more information about the available visualizations.
- Additional text and images can be added to the dashboard to further customize it. Refer to “Custom Insights Assets Components” for more information.

Exporting a Dashboard
The Export option allows you to print the dashboard to a PDF file. This allows you to share the dashboard information with users who do not have access to the DryvIQ Platform. The export is saved to your default downloads location and will be named after the dashboard.
Applying Filters to a Dashboard
When viewing dashboards, use the Filter, Select Scans, and Refine options to customize the data further. These options are the same options available throughout the DryvIQ Platform.
Applying Saved Views
The My saved views option allows you to apply a saved view to the current dashboard. These are the same saved views available on the Content page. You cannot update saved views on the custom insights pages. To edit a saved view, you must do so on the Content page.
Viewing All the Dashboards
The Manage Custom Insights page displays a list of the custom dashboards that have been created. From here, you can choose to view a dashboard by clicking on a dashboard tile. Each tile also provides options that allow you to rename or delete a dashboard from this page.
Renaming a Dashboard
- Select Manage Custom Insights from the Insights menu.
- Click the ellipsis at the bottom right of the dashboard tile.
- Click the Rename.
- Edit the dashboard name.
- Click Done.
Alternative Rename Option
You can also rename the dashboard when viewing it. Just click the Pencil icon next to the dashboard name and edit the name as needed. Click the Save icon next to the name field to save the changes.
Deleting a Dashboard From the Manage Custom Insights Page
- Select Manage Custom Insights from the Insights menu.
- Click the ellipsis at the bottom right of the dashboard tile.
- Click the remove.
Tile Colors
The dashboard tiles are assigned color in a specific sequence. Deleting a dashboard will cause the other dashboard tiles to change color to maintain the sequence.
Deleting a Dashboard Within the Dashboard
- Click the Dashboard tile to view the dashboard.
- Click the Pencil icon next to the dashboard name.
- Click the Delete icon next to the name field to delete the dashboard.
“Other” Segment in Pie Charts
Pie Charts on custom insights show the top five values and all other values grouped into “Other.” If the first five values are large enough, they will fill the entire chart, and the “Other” segment will not be clickable so you can view the results. To make this segment clickable, remove another label from the legend to filter it out of the chart. This will make the “Other” segment available for selection so you can view the results.
