Testing a Connection

Testing a connection allows you to verify that DryvIQ can connect to the platform. This is the same connection test that runs when you create the connection. If there seem to be issues with content scans or migration jobs for a particular connection, you can test the connection to ensure it is successful. If a connection test fails, it may mean the platform is experiencing an outage, or there may be an issue with the credentials used to create the connection. If there is an issue with the credentials, it may be necessary to create a new connection.

Testing a Connection

  1. Expand the Manage section in the left menu.
  2. Click Connections.
  3. Locate the connection.
  4. Click the ellipses (…) in the Actions column.
  5. Click Test connection from the menu. (Note that this option doesn't appear for disconnected connections.)

  6. DryvIQ attempts to connect to the platform using the credentials that were used to create the connection.
If DryvIQ can connect to the platform, you will see a “Connection test succeeded” message.
If DryvIQ is unable to connect to the platform, you will see a “Connection test failed” message.
