Overview

You can create two kinds of entity types: regular expression and block list. The information required to create each entity type varies, so refer to the documentation for each type to ensure you understand each option.

Creating a Custom Entity Type

  1. Expand the Manage section of the left navigation menu.
  2. Click Entity Types.
  3. Click Create entity type.

  4. A Create entity type modal appears.
  5. Add a name for the entity type you are creating. The name displays in the Entity Type list and is required.
  6. Select if you are creating an entity type that will match using a regular expression (a pattern) or a defined list.
  7. Select Create.

  8. You will be taken to a page where you can add additional information about the entity type you are creating. Refer to Creating Regular Expression Entity Types or Creating Block List Entity Types for information about creating each specific entity type.
