Overview Uploading Files Understanding Results

Overview

You can upload sample files to run against an entity type and see the results for that file. This can help you analyze a file manually and allows you to test an entity type to ensure you don’t need to add any additional configuration to get the best results.

The file size limit for an upload is 50 MB.

Uploading Files

  1. Click the ellipses (…) at the end of the row.
  2. Click Upload sample in the menu that displays.
  3. Click Upload sample file on the modal that appears.
  4. Use the dialog box that appears to select the file.
  5. DryvIQ displays the results of the analysis.

  6. Click Done to close the modal.

Understanding Results

The upload results identify if the entity type was found and the confidence percentage. The Validation bubble indicates if validation was matched. An X means validation didn’t match (or wasn’t used for the entity type). A check mark indicates the item matched the validation set for the entity type. Similarly, the Keywords bubble will display an x or check mark to indicate if results matched keywords.

What displays for the matched value depends on the Entity Type Context Capture setting. Based on the setting, some results will have a Show document sample link that allows you to view one line from the document that matched against the entity type. The actual result may be displayed or obfuscated. Refer to Entity Type Context Capture for more information about how the setting affects the upload results.

Text results in images and PDF files will only display if optical character recognition is enabled on the Entity Types page in the Settings.

If a policy contains a permissions action or entity type that requires data source configuration for accounts or groups, the sample upload against the policy will fail with an error if the configuration has not been completed. Complete the data source configuration and upload the sample again.
