Overview Viewing Child Jobs Viewing Child Jobs for Intelligent Migration Jobs Exporting the Child Jobs List

Overview

When you create a Folder Mapping, User Account Mapping, Network Home Drive Mapping, or Intelligent Migration job, you are creating the parent job. DryvIQ will automatically create a unique job for each folder, user, or home drive in your hierarchy. Child jobs inherit configurations from the parent job. When viewing the parent job, you can use the Child jobs page to view a list of the child jobs under this job and take actions for those jobs as needed. With one or more jobs selected, you can choose to run the selected job(s) or use the More options menu to manage the selected job(s).

Viewing Child Jobs

You can click a job in the list to view the information for that job. You can also navigate to the job by selecting a job in the list and clicking the ellipses at the end of the row. Choosing the Job overview option that displays takes you to the Overview page for the child job. From here, you will see the same reporting tabs available for the parent job, allowing you to view the details for the specific job.

Viewing Child Jobs for Intelligent Migration Jobs

DryvIQ creates a child job for each location used by a content scan assigned to the intelligent migration job. The scan locations are the source locations for the child jobs, and the destination is the connection selected when creating the intelligent migration job. You can view these jobs on the Child jobs page for the intelligent migration job. Like all jobs, you can click a child job in the list to drill into the reporting for just that child job. The intelligent migration child jobs are named using the convention of “Monitor location | Source Platform (source location) → Intelligent Migration Job Name.” (Refer to the image below for examples.) This name format displays on all pages where you can view the jobs.

Exporting the Child Jobs List

The Export this list option exports the current job list to a CSV file. In addition to listing all the child jobs, the export contains additional information about the jobs.
