Migration Items Report

View all items analyzed by a migration job.

Overview

The Migrate Items report is available when viewing information for individual jobs and when viewing roll-up reports. The Items report lists all items analyzed for the job(s) and the status of each item. The job overview statistics can be viewed by files or by folders, but the item statistics aggregate all items, including the files, folders, and the root folder.

Long Item Names

If an item name is too long to display fully in the list, you can hover on the name. This will display a pop-up that displays the full name of the item.

Understanding the Status

The status identifies what happened with the item in the last job run. This helps you understand which items were successfully transferred, which items were ignored, etc., so you can take the appropriate action.

The status values displayed in the user interface vary from the status values used in the REST API. The table below identifies the different status values. Note that the Items export uses the API status values.

UI Status API/Export Status Description
Flagged Remediation The item could not be transferred and was flagged for manual remediation.
Ignored Skipped The item was ignored because a filter policy was set for the job. Refer to “Ignored Filter Reasons” for explanations of each ignored reason.
Pending Pending The item has not finished transferring to the destination. This can happen if a job is paused or canceled before an item is completely transferred.
Retrying Retry The item could not be transferred and is flagged for retry. The default retry attempts is 3.
Revised Processed The item name was revised as part of the transfer. This occurs when an item name conflicts with policies on the destination due to the inclusion of unsupported characters or length.
Succeeded Success The item was successfully transferred.
Unknown Unknown The item status is unknown.

Viewing Item Details

If you select a flagged or revised item in the list, you can view the “Flagged” reason or “Revised” reason by expanding the banner that displays on the right.

If you select a flagged or ignored item, you can use the Retry button that displays to set the item status to retry. DryvIQ will attempt to transfer the item during the next job run.

For flagged items, you can use the Ignore button that displays to set the item to be ignored on subsequent job runs.

Filtering the List

You can filter the Items list so it displays only items with a certain status, items that were revised for a specific reason, items of a certain file type, items that were flagged in a specific category, or items using a specific feature. You can also filter the list to show only files or only folders. Each filter option provides a secondary filter list that allows you to select a specific filter value. Expand a filter below to view the available values.

Status

Filter the list by item status. See Understanding the Status above for descriptions of each status.

Available Values:

  • Succeeded
  • Revised
  • Retrying

Revision

Available Values:

  • Compressed/Converted: The item was compressed into a ZIP file because the destination does not support the original file format, or it was converted to another file format. Refer to “Zip Unsupported File Types” for more information.
  • Account/Group Unmapped: The specified Unmapped user or group policy was applied. Refer to “Creating Automatic User and Group Mappings” for more information.

Feature

Filter the list by items affected by a specific feature.

Available Values:

Filter the list by the remediation status for identified links. Refer to “Link Detection and Remediation” for more information.

Available Values:

  • Nothing to remediate: No links were detected in the file.
  • Remediation needed: Links were detected in the file and require remediation to be executed to update the links.
  • Complete: Remediation was executed and finished processing. Regular URLs and unsupported URLs will also be considered “Complete” as there is no action to take against them.
  • Retry: Remediation was triggered but was not completed. Link remediation needs to be executed again to remediate the link.
  • Failed: At least one link in the file failed to be remediated. Failed files will not be reprocessed during subsequent link remediation executions unless the status is changed to “Retry.”

Customizing Columns

The Items page contains four columns. By default, the columns display the identified item, resolved item, item status, and item size (respectively). While the first two columns cannot be changed, the last two columns can be customized to display different information. Click the Arrow next to the column name and select the information you want displayed.

Column Name Description
File description Displays a description of the item (Adobe Portable Document Format, Microsoft Office - OOXML - Word Document, etc.)
File type Displays “Documents” and is blank for folders.
Filter reason Displays the reason the item was ignored during transfer, if applicable. Refer to “Ignored Filter Reasons” for information regarding each ignored reason.
Last failure Displays the date the item last failed.
Link remediation status Displays the current status of the identified links. This requires link detection to have been enabled when creating the job. Refer to “Link Detection and Remediation” for more information.
MIME type

Displays the MIME type for Google document types. Refer to the MIME types for the Google document types below.

  • Google Jamboard: application/vnd.google-apps.jam
  • Google Sites: application/vnd.google-apps.site
  • Google Maps: application/vnd.google-apps.map
  • Google Forms: application/vnd.google-apps.form
  • LucidChart: application/vnd.google-apps.drive-sdk.7081045131
Number of links Displays the number of links detected in the file. This requires link detection to have been enabled when creating the job. Refer to “Link Detection and Remediation” for more information.
Size Displays the size of the item. This is the default heading for the fourth column.
Status Identifies what happened with the item in the last job run. This is the default heading for the third column.
Transfer date Displays the date the item was last transferred.
Type Identifies the item as a file or folder.

Column Sorting

The columns can be sorted in ascending and descending order as needed; however, the sort availability for the third and fourth columns is limited to specific column content.

Exporting the Report

Use the Export this report link to export a CSV file for review. The following information is included in the export.

Field Description
transferred_on Date the item was transferred
status Current status of the item. Note that the export uses the API Status values and not the status values from the user interface. See Understanding the Status above for more information.
item_type Identifies the item as a file or directory
direction The transfer direction for the item
source_id Item ID on the source platform
source_name Item name on the source platform. Names can vary between the source and destination due to name revisions that occur during transfer to accommodate naming restrictions of the destination platform.

source_version Number of versions on the source
source_hash Hash value on the source platform
source_exists Identifies if the item exists on the source platform

last_failure_message Description of the failure type
last_failure_recorded_on Date the failure last occurred
embedded_links

If link detection was enabled for the job, this is the number of embedded links identified for the item.

Counts will not always match exactly depending on how links are added to the worksheet cell. If the links are added to multiple cells at the same time, DryvIQ reads the link as one link shared across cells. In this instance, all shared links count as one link. If the links are added to multiple cells separately (one at a time), DryvIQ counts each cell as separate. In this instance, each link is counted individually.

remediated_embedded_links If link detection was enabled for the job and link remediation has been executed, this is the number of links DryvIQ remediated for the item.
processing_status Identifies how the file was revised. “None” indicates no revision was required.
filter_reason Identifies the reason the file was ignored during transfer if applicable. The column will be blank for items that were not ignored.

Microsoft Excel Limits

Microsoft Excel has a maximum limit of 1,048,576 rows. When opening the export file, Excel will display a message if your file exceeds the maximum supported rows, and the excess content will not be displayed. See Microsoft’s documentation regarding Excel specifications and limits for more information. Refer to “Exporting Large Data Sets in Chunks” if you need to export more than the maximum limit.
