Overview

A block list is a set of keywords you want to find in content. This match type provides 100% accuracy because the content is compared against the list. DryvIQ only adds content to the match list if it finds one of the terms in the content. This page explains each section of the entity type screen and how you use it to build your custom entity type.

Entity Type Description

You can add a description for the entity type you are creating. Separate from the name used to search for the entity type in the application, the description gives users an understanding of what the entity type is attempting to accomplish with the list you are using. The description is limited to 256 characters.

Click Edit to add a description to the entity type.

Type a description in the text field that displays and click Done.

Category

The category identifies the type of data being detected. The Category list includes the default categories in the DryvIQ Platform and any custom categories you have created. Preinstalled entity types will be assigned a corresponding category. All custom entity types default to “General,” but you can edit the category if a specific category needs to be used for an entity type. (See Managing Categories for information about creating and managing custom categories.)

Defined List

The defined list is the keywords you want to find in the scanned content. Keywords can be manually added to the Keywords field or imported using a CSV file. When manually adding keywords, you can enter the terms as comma-separated values or add each keyword on a new line. See Managing Keywords for information about managing keywords added to the entity type.

Keywords cannot contain the following characters: ~ ` ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = { } [ ] | \ : ; " ' < > ? . /

Manually Adding Keywords

  1. Click Edit on the Predefined list card.
  2. Enter the keywords as comma-separated values or add each keyword on a new line.

  1. Click Done to save the keywords.

Adding Keywords Using a CSV Upload

You can upload the keywords for an entity type using a CSV file. The first line of the CSV file must be labeled “words” for the import to work. This row serves as the header row and will be ignored by the import. Each keyword must be on a separate line in the upload file. The upload will fail if the file contains multiple keywords per line separated by commas. When you choose a CSV keyword file, DryvIQ uploads it to the server and replaces the existing keywords (if any) with those in the file.

  1. Click Edit on the Predefined list card.
  2. Click the ellipses (…) that display on the Defined list card.
  3. Click Upload CSV file in the menu that displays.
  4. Click Upload on the Upload keywords modal that appears.
  5. Use the dialog box to select the CSV file that contains the keywords.
  6. Once you select the file, click Open.
  7. The keywords in the file will be added to the entity type.
