Overview Adding Additional Keywords Adding Keywords Using a CSV File Deleting a Single Keyword Deleting Multiple Keywords Deleting All Keywords Exporting Keywords Searching Keywords

Overview

The Keywords page allows you to manage the keywords assigned to the entity type. You access this page using the Manage keywords option for an entity type. Use the links below to learn more. Managing negative keywords for regular expression entity types is the same as managing other keywords. The same functionality and options are available for both keyword types.

Adding Additional Keywords

Once you create an entity type that uses keywords, you use the Keywords page to add additional keywords to the list as needed.

Keywords cannot contain the following characters: ~ ` ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = { } [ ] | \ : ; " ' < > ? . /

  1. Select the entity type.
  2. Click Edit on the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  3. Click the ellipses (…).
  4. Click Manage keywords in the menu that displays.

  5. On the Keywords page, click the ellipses (…) on the top-right side of the page.
  6. Click Add keywords in the menu that displays.

  7. Type the keyword(s) you want to add to the entity type.
  8. Click Add to add the keyword.

Adding Keywords Using a CSV File

The first line of the CSV file must contain a column labeled “words” for the import to work. Each keyword must be on a separate line in the upload file. The upload will fail if the file contains multiple keywords per line separated by commas. When you choose a CSV keyword file, DryvIQ uploads it to the server and replaces the existing keywords (if any) with those in the file.

  1. Select the entity type.
  2. Click Edit on the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  3. Click the ellipses (…).
  4. Click Manage keywords in the menu that displays.
  5. On the Keywords page, click the ellipses (…) on the top-right of the page.
  6. Click Upload CSV file in the menu that displays.
  7. Click Upload on the Upload a CSV file modal that appears.
  8. Use the dialog box to select the CSV file that contains the keywords.
  9. Once you select the file, click Done.
  10. The keywords in the file will be added to the entity type.

Deleting a Single Keyword

You can delete keywords from a keywords list as needed. This is useful if a keyword was added in error, if a keyword was added incorrectly, or if the keyword no longer needs to be in the list. You have the option of removing keywords one at a time, removing multiple keywords at a time, or removing all keywords.

  1. Select the entity type.
  2. Click Edit on the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  3. Click the ellipses (…).
  4. Click Manage keywords in the menu that displays.
  5. On the Keywords page, click the delete icon (trashcan) for the keyword you want to delete. The keyword is deleted.

Deleting Multiple Keywords

Use the steps below to remove multiple keywords from the list simultaneously.

  1. Select the entity type.
  2. Click Edit on the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  3. Click the ellipses (…).
  4. Click Manage keywords in the menu that displays.
  5. A checkbox appears when you hover over a keyword. Select this box for all the keywords you want to delete.

  6. Click the ellipses (…) on the top of the page.
  7. Click Delete keywords in the menu that appears.

  8. Click Yes when prompted to verify you want to delete the keywords.

Deleting All Keywords

You can delete all the keywords added to an entity type. You would use this option if you decide not to use keywords along with the pattern for an entity type that uses regular expression or if you want to clear the keyword list to start the list over from scratch. This option is available on the main page for the entity type.

  1. Click Entity Types in the left navigation menu.
  2. Select the entity type that contains the keywords you want to remove.
  3. Click Edit in the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  4. Click the ellipses (…).
  5. Click Delete all keywords in the menu that displays.

  6. Click Yes when prompted to confirm you want to delete all keywords.

Exporting Keywords

Use the Export items link to export the keywords to a words.csv file. You can use the list as a reference for the keywords added to the entity type, or you can edit the file by adding and/or removing keywords and then uploading the edited list to the entity type to change existing keywords.

  1. Select the entity type.
  2. Click Edit on the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  3. Click the ellipses (…).
  4. Click Manage keywords in the menu that displays.
  5. Click Export items.
  6. A words.csv file is exported to your browser's default download location.

Searching Keywords

The Refine option allows you to search for specific keywords. This feature is useful when you have a lot of keywords assigned to an entity type and need to find a specific keyword.

  1. Select the entity type.
  2. Click Edit on the Keyword proximity or Defined list section.
  3. Click the ellipses (…).
  4. Click Manage keywords in the menu that displays.
  5. Click Refine on the top-left side of the Keywords page.

  6. Click Term.

  7. Type the search criteria and click Apply (or press ENTER).

  8. The Keywords page displays only keywords that match your search criteria.
  9. Click Reset to display all keywords again.
