Overview Creating a Category Managing Categories Filtering the Jobs List by Category

Overview

The category function allows for the logical grouping of jobs for reporting and filtering purposes. The category is optional and does not alter the job function in any way. DryvIQ comes with two default job categories:

  • Maintenance: DryvIQ maintenance jobs only. This category allows you to view the report of background maintenance jobs and is not intended for newly created transfer jobs.
  • Default: When a category is not defined during job creation, it will automatically be given the default category. This option allows you to create a report for all jobs for which a custom category was not assigned.

Creating a Category

  1. Click Add new category in the Category list.

  2. Add the category name and click Done.

  3. The category will be added to the Job category list and will be available to select for all future jobs.

Managing Categories

The Manage job categories option allows you to edit or remove custom categories. You cannot edit the default system categories.

  1. Click Manage job categories.
  2. Click Edit next to the category.

  3. Edit the name and click Done, or click Delete category to remove it.

Filtering the Jobs List by Category

You can use the category as a filter when viewing the Jobs list. Just select Category as the filter and select the category from the Select a value list that displays.

The Category filter is limited to displaying 1000 values.
